“Sustainable soil management for nutrition sensitive agriculture in Sub - Saharan Africa and South East Asia” প্রকল্পের Expert consultation meeting বিএআরসি'তে গত ২৮ জানুয়ারি অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। বিএআরসি'র নির্বাহী চেয়ারম্যান ড শেখ মোহাম্মদ বখতিয়ার সভায় সভাপতিত্ব করেন।

Expert consultation meeting on “ Sustainable soil management for nutrition sensitive agriculture in Sub - Saharan Africa and South East Asia” project held at BARC on 28 Jan 2020. Executive Chairman, BARC Dr. Shaikh Mohammad Bokhtiar Chaired the meeting. He advised to the participant for formulating a comprehensive planning for this very special multinational project. This is a German funded FAO project coordinated by BARC and implementing partner is SRDI. Around forty distinguished soil scientists and agronomist from NARS were participated in the consultation meeting . Dr. M. Jahiruddin, Prof. BAU (BAS & TWAS Fellow) made a significant presentation on micronutrients study in Bangladesh. Dr. Taibur Rahman, PSO SRDI and Dr. Parimal also gave brief presentations on the meeting . Dr. Debra Turner, FAO international consultation made a comprehensive presentation on the project. Eminent soil scient Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam, Former DG , BARI chair the discussion part of the meeting. Dr. Md. Baktear Hossain, CSO soil & NPC of the project delivered welcome speech on the meeting.
